Pet Photo Guide

Clear, varied photos help us preserve the features that make your cat recognizable while giving the story room to move.

For a movie based on your real pet

These tips help us preserve your pet’s appearance. If you chose an idea-only direction or asked us to create the character, pet photos are not required.

Three useful views, one recognizable pet.

Illustrative example using the same fictional cat. The character study shows a possible creative direction, not an automatic conversion or a customer result.

Character study

An illustrative interpretation of the same cat. Your direction is shaped through the creative brief.

Three views tell us what matters.

Send 6–12 recent, unfiltered photos. A small, varied set is more useful than dozens of similar portraits.

Face and eyes

One centred, front-facing photo in even light. Keep the eyes, nose and ears visible.

Both sides and body shape

Add left, right and full-body views so markings, paws, proportions and tail shape are clear.

Personality

Include a favourite expression, posture or little habit—and tell us any feature that must stay.

Photos to avoid

Beauty filters, heavy shadows, motion blur, tiny crops, social-media screenshots, extreme wide-angle distortion and costumes covering the face can hide important features. A favourite imperfect photo is still useful for personality when paired with a clear appearance reference.
